U.S. Army Boots Get an Upgrade
Belleville Boot Company and Rocky Boots were recently selected to supply the U.S. Army with about 36,700 pairs of newly-designed Jungle Combat Boots. The new boots are considered to be more comfortable, faster drying and puncture resistant.
The new boot features a thick shock-absorbing polyurethane layer that helps keep feet dry. While the older jungle boots were made of hard rubber, these newer boots will include a polyurethane insert with perforations designed to move water away from the foot and absorb extra shock.
We’re glad that polyurethane can help our troops be more comfortable!
